The GRAPAX, which stands for “Groupe de Recherche en Appui aux Politiques de PaiX”, is an interuniversity network of research and expertise. With more than eleven years of experience, it brings together academic actors from the North and the South, NGOs and officers of the Belgian public administration around peace-building processes in Fragile States. Its funding within the CUD framework (which has meanwhile become the Development Cooperation Commission-CCD, from ARES) ended on 31 March 2014.
The GRAPAX continues however to be active through four sets of activities:
- By maintaining a North and South research network on peace, security and post-conflict reconstruction (click here)
- By maintaining an activity supporting the Belgian cooperation and development policy regarding “ aid efficiency and fragile state contexts” (click here)
- By creating a training offer on security and development (click here)
- By providing an expertise in terms of identification, training, development projects and programs evaluation related with the GRAPAX working topics (click here)
