The GRAPAX bases its work on approximately 500 individual or institutional partners, coming from Belgian universities, partner universities from southern countries, Belgian associations and from the Belgian public administration of development cooperation. The network, open to everybody interested in its thematic expertise, aims to assure and promote the work of every of its members inside the network. By exchanging information and research expertise among its members, the GRAPAX encourages dialogue, cooperation and realization of common projects, especially in terms of research and publication.
Research topics of the GRAPAX concern mainly questions of peace and security in sub-Saharan Africa and development-aid. For further information follow this link.

In close collaboration with the GRAPAX, an old PIC project (Projet Interuniversitaire Ciblé) of the CUD, having become ARES-CCD, consisted in the creation of a regional research network for peace construction in the Great Lakes Region (RECOPAX). The network’s website, regrouping colleagues of Burundi University, Rwanda University and the catholic university of Bukavu, is hosted by the GRAPAX. To learn more follow this link.
