Presentation
Between 2004 and 2014, the GRAPAX set its expertise at the service of the Belgian cooperation and development policy as part of a decision-making aid. This support was primarily focused on the Directorate general for development cooperation and humanitarian aid of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, but collaborations have also been established with the development cooperation cabinet minister as well as with the Belgian development agency (BTC).
This research work in support of political activity was financed by the Belgian development cooperation through the CUD, now became ARES’ development cooperation Commission, and the research and higher education Academy of the French Community in Belgium (ARES-CDD). The GRAPAX and other GRAPs (group of research in support of political decision) funding is over since 2014.
In accordance with the ACROPOLIS program, which has started up in May 2015, researchers and the GRAPAX network (now broadened) keep working together in support to the Belgian development and cooperation administration on issues related to aid efficiency in context of fragility.
